How To Track Your iPad/iPhone/iPod’s Location?GadgetTrak provides proven theft recovery solutions for a wide range of portable devices including cell phones, PDAs, removable media devices iPodS. ActiveTrak has announced the release of GadgetTrak 2.5, a new version of its theft recovery software for iOS. The update is available for download from the App Store, and the app costs 99 cents. Tracking data is transmitted over a secure SSL connection and you can even use  GadgetTrak to protect your Mac and Windows laptops visit Trak.me from your device or use the in-app button to setup the tracking.

How To Track Your iPad/iPhone/iPod’s Location?

The GadgetTrak iOS application has been updated and released in to the iTunes Store and allows you to track the location of your iOS devices. GadgetTrak silently reports its location and senses when your iPhone or iPad has significantly changed its location and the GadgetTrak server keeps track of where your phone has been.

With all of the photos, contacts, apps and music on your iPhone, losing it would be a massive pain. Unfortunately, that pain is felt by thousands of smartphone users every day. Ask them—they wish they'd had GadgetTrak installed.

When your device is missing, log into your account using any web browser and enable tracking immediately. GadgetTrak will spring to life and generate location reports, including map points, longitude & latitude and IP address to help you pinpoint your lost device. It can even snap photos of the thief!
For extra security, enable the "Deleting Apps" restriction in Settings App->General->Restrictions. This will keep the thief from deleting GadgetTrak (and any other apps).

But dont forget the application has to be activated before it can start tracking your iPhone or iPad and when it is activated your battery will use more juice than normal.

Features

Location Tracking

If your device has GPS capability it will be used by GadgetTrak to get the most accurate location possible. Even without GPS, GadgetTrak can use cell towers and/or advanced Wi-Fi positioning technology to pinpoint the location of your device usually within a few meters.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Continued use of GPS can dramatically decrease battery life. For better battery performance, deactivate tracking until the device is lost. The GadgetTrak app does not use GPS and will not impact battery life when tracking is disabled (even if the Navigation icon appears).

Push Notifications

GadgetTrak automatically sends a discrete message to your device, enticing the thief to initiate a tracking report.

Camera Reports

Snap a photo with the built in camera(s) to collect crucial evidence to help Police catch the thief. (available for iOS devices with at least one built-in camera, additional in-app purchase required)

GadgetTrak for iOS is part of a suite of products available for a variety of platforms including Mac OS X and iOS. The software enables you to track and recover devices that hve been lost or stolen. New to the 2.5 release of GadgetTrak for iOS is support for cameras. If your iOS device has a built-in camera – such as an iPhone or iPod touch – GadgetTrak will snap photos to help you ad the police identify the thief and location where the device is. The photo can now be attached to an e-mail; the e-mail also includes location information.

Blackberry Tips and Trick Must Have

Blackberry Tips and Trick Must HaveTop Best BlackBerry Tips All of Time Tips Blackberry Blog about Tips Blackberry Top Best BlackBerry Applications All of Time Tips and Trick Latest Blackberry. transferred their smartphone affections to the iPhone, there are many of us still rocking the BlackBerry. I don't claim to be a BlackBerry expert, but I have come across a few tips and tricks that will make any user's life easier and more entertaining.

1. Use the keyboard less

BlackBerry has always had a QWERTY keyboard and you can type everything out in full - but you can save time with the built-in shortcuts. Press space twice at the end of a sentence to get the full stop and an automatic capital on the next word.

Don't bother with apostrophes in words like I'm and isn't (type im and the BlackBerry will correct it for you); there are other handy abbreviations like 'wel' to get 'we'll' and 'il' to get 'I'll' and you can add your own with Options > AutoText.

Blackberry Tips and Trick Must Have

AUTOTEXT: Speed up typing by creating your own abbreviations and corrections

2. Quick capitals

You don't need Shift - press and hold a letter key to type the upper case letter.

3. Skip Symbol

If you're typing an email address into a field that expects an email address, don't bother looking for how to type the @; just hit space and BlackBerry with put the @ in for you. Press space when you need the . in the middle of the email address and it will fill that in, too. Do the same for URLs in the browser; pressing space fills in the periods faster than typing them by hand.

4. Fast select

There's a Select command on the menu for choosing what to copy and paste - but you can make a selection just by holding down the Shift key as you scroll the trackball.

5. Keyboard shortcuts

Save on scrolling by using 't' to get to the top of any email message, web page or other long screen and 'b' to get to the bottom. There are specific shortcuts for all the built-in apps like using the Mute button to pause videos or music or skipping to the next or previous track by pressing and holding the volume up and down keys (which also zoom in and out in the camera - although many apps use I and O to zoom); there's a list in the Help tool.

Blackberry Tips and Trick Must Have

SAVE TIME: Put the keyboard to work with shortcuts in every built-in app

6. Choose dialling or shortcuts

Under Options > Phone Options > General Options you can set Dial From Home Screen to Yes or No; if you set it to Yes you can start typing a name to dial the number on the home screen, if you set it to No you can type the first letter of apps on the home screen to open them (M for Mail, B for browser, C to compose email - and oddly N for Messenger, L for Calendar and U for Calculator).

7. Web columns

Press Z in the web browser to reflow the page into a column the size of the BlackBerry screen so it's easier to read; press Z again to go back to a normal page view you can scroll around.

Blackberry Tips and Trick Must Have

EASY READING: Switch between seeing the original layout and a version of the page reformatted as one long BlackBerry-sized column

8. Turn on JavaScript

To save memory and make pages load faster, the BlackBerry browser usually has JavaScript turned off by default; use Options > Browser Configuration > Support JavaScript to turn it back on and make more pages load correctly.

9. Which browser?

There are three different browsers on the BlackBerry; a WAP browser for viewing content from your mobile network, the BlackBerry HTML browser (and a hotspot browser that prioritises the Wi-Fi connection). If you have problems accessing or loading Web pages, choose Options > Browser Configuration and set Browser to BlackBerry Browser and make sure Options > General Properties > Default Browser is also set to BlackBerry Browser.

10. Don't get mobile Web sites

You can also try changing Browser Identification from BlackBerry to Firefox or IE to force the full versions of specific pages to load instead of the cut-down mobile versions - but they might be slow or not load fully.

Blackberry Tips and Trick Must Have

BROWSER SWAP: The BBC web site always loads the mobile version on BlackBerry; if you want to see the full site, have your BlackBerry pretend to run Firefox or IE

11. Fast search

You can search for contacts, messages and inside files and web pages - press S to search in contacts and messages and F to search in other apps.

12. Color-code messages

If you get both work and personal email on your BlackBerry, you can change the color of either set of messages. Choose Options > Security Options >Information> Message Outline Colors and either Enterprise Messages or Other Messages.

Blackberry Tips and Trick Must Have

COLOUR-CODED: Show work and personal messages in different colors

13. Menu multi-tasking

BlackBerry has had multitasking for years but it's subtly done; apps stay running so you can switch back to them (unless you run out of memory when they're closed automatically). To get back to another app, press and hold the Menu button to get the task switcher.

14. Lock with mute

Some BlackBerrys have both a lock and a mute button on the top edge, others - like the original Bold - only have a mute button. You can always lock the screen by scrolling down to the Lock icon but it's faster to just press and hold mute until the screen locks (do the same to unlock it).

Here Are The Top 10 Basic Blackberry Tips And Tricks In No Particular Order Top BlackBerry Problems Solutions Top 10 Basic Blackberry Tips And Tricks from. BlackBerrys have a lot of settings hidden in the OS. Here are some of the most popular BlackBerry Tips for any user. There are some tips you won't need often - like pressing Alt, Del and the right-hand Caps key at the same time to reboot instead of just restarting; others you'll use all the time, like pressing the red 'hang up' key to get back to the home screen and clicking the spanner icon on the home screen to open Options.

15. Real convenience

There are two 'convenience keys' - one on each side of the BlackBerry; you've probably found one of them by knocking it and hearing that irritating 'say a command' message. If you never use voice command, choose Options > Screen/Keyboard to change the buttons to something more useful - starting the camera, opening the music player or launching your favourite app.

Blackberry Tips and Trick Must Have

QUICK START: Put two apps or commands you use all the time at your fingertips

16. Tweak your trackball

Use Options > Screen/Keyboard and scroll to the bottom of the page to choose the horizontal and vertical sensitivity (how far it moves across the screen when you move it) and whether you hear a click as it rolls.

17. Turn off speakerphone

The slightly confusing way to put a call on speakerphone is to use Menu > Activate Speakerphone; the even more confusing way to turn it off is Menu > Activate Handset - or you can use the $ key to turn it on and off. (And the $ key produces the $ sign in email, use Options > Screen/Keyboard > Currency key to set it to £ instead).

18. Say a command

Voice command does more than voice dialling; if you want to check your signal and battery strength you can wade through the Options menu or you can hit the voice command button and say 'status' or 'check battery' and 'check signal strength'.

19. Say it again

Voice recognition works quite well, but you can train it by reading a list of numbers and words; choose Options > Voice Dialing> Adapt Voice.

Blackberry Tips and Trick Must Have

VOICE TRAINING: Choose Adapt Voice and your BlackBerry will ask you to read a list of sample names and numbers

20. Hidden Help

The hidden 'Help Me!' screen shows the signal strength, battery level, device PIN, free space, space in use, IMEI, OS version, how long the BlackBerry has been on and some other info that can be useful for troubleshooting. View it by pressing Alt + Caps + H.

21. Archive, don't uninstall

Only the very latest BlackBerry models have anything like enough memory for all the apps you want. When you run out of space, pick the ones you use least and archive them to your microSD card (this only works with apps from App World). Select the app in the My World sections of App World and choose Menu > Archive; archived apps have a green arrow on their icons and you can click them to reinstall - but you may have to restart to archive or restore an app.

Blackberry Tips and Trick Must Have

ARCHIVE APPS: You can't run apps from the SD card but you can archive them to save space

22. Save power overnight

BlackBerry is very frugal on battery life and you can make it last even longer by having yours turn itself off overnight and back on in the morning. Choose Options > Auto On/Off; you can have different on and off times for weekdays and weekends.

23. Master Control Program

Use the free third-party tool MCP (http://mcpfx.com) for tweaking your BlackBerry, doing a factory reset in an emergency - or just installing updates more easily than with the sprawling and inefficient BlackBerry Desktop software.

Blackberry Tips and Trick Must Have

TWEAK BLACKBERRY: Install a new OS or tweak the modules on your BlackBerry with the excellent Master Control Program

24. Install any app

If you want to run an app that doesn't have an installer - including alternative email clients like Astrasync and NotifySync which RIM won't sign for installation - connect your BlackBerry by USB, switch to mass storage mode so it shows up on your PC as a drive and copy the JAR file to the root folder. On your BlackBerry use the Media app to open the folder and select the JAR file to install it.

25. Save money on texts

If you're sending a message to another BlackBerry user, BlackBerry Messenger is free -but you need to know their BlackBerry PIN.The easiest way to get someone in your contact list is to invite them.

Demo iPhone passwords hack

Top Best Beautiful and Stylish Mobile PhonesiPhone passwords hack is real things. A German research firm has demonstrated how passwords stored on an iPhone can be retrieved in less than six minutes without needing to know the passcode. Researchers from German engineering and research firm Fraunhofer tested the hack on an iPhone 4 and iPad 3G running iOS 4.2.1 and found that it was possible to access a range of passwords stored on the device, including: MobileMe, Google Mail as a Microsoft Exchange account, Microsoft Exchange email accounts, VPN logins and Wi-Fi network credentials.

The researchers said that the hack was relatively easy to perform and used freely available tools. However, they did have to jailbreak the device and install an SSH server in order to access the phone and copy the keychain access script that allows access to the stored information.

"After using a jailbreaking tool, to get access to a command shell, we run a small script to access and decrypt the passwords found in the keychain. The decryption is done with help of functions provided by the operating system itself," the researchers wrote in the paper. "An attacker would not need to know the user's passcode nor does he need to exploit new vulnerabilities to reveal these secrets."

Other sensitive information such as credentials saved by the Safari web browser were not revealed in the tests.

12 tips for creating better presentations

tips for creating better presentationsTips for creating better presentations find a best result to communicate with the client ? You have a presentation to create. It's important. But, formatting diagrams can take forever and the text on your slides seems to have a mind of its own. Then, there's the sad fact that everybody's Microsoft PowerPoint presentations look the same. Sound about right? If so, I've got good news for you! Creating professional, unique presentations can be much easier than you think.

You may also want to take a look at the following related posts:

Also don’t forget to subscribe! or be a fan on facebook

This article will help you find the right tools to get exactly the presentation you want. We'll look at three components of creating effective presentations, and provide time-saving tips to help send your presentation off in style:

  • Grab the viewer's attention

  • Clearly communicate your information

  • Stay in control of your presentations

Looking for tips for an earlier version of PowerPoint? Get tips for creating better presentations with Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003.

Grab the viewer's attention

Creating slides that get the viewer's attention is not about how much you can fit on the screen. It's about using the space on your slides effectively. Don't crowd your slides, and only include elements that contribute to the points you want to make. When you use graphics on a slide, choose images that serve a purpose (such as a chart or diagram that displays a direct benefit of your idea). Compare the two slides below, for example.

tips for creating better presentations

Two versions of the same content: The slide on the right uses a simple graphic to replace some of the slide text and makes a much stronger point.

Check out these four ways to help grab and keep your viewer's attention.

1. Select or create your own theme.

Themes are the evolution of design templates in PowerPoint, but they're also much more than that. The themes features was introduced in Microsoft Office 2007 to help you easily create the right look for your presentations and to coordinate all of your Microsoft Office documents almost instantly.

A theme is a coordinated set of fonts, colors, and graphic effects that you can apply to your entire document with just a click. The same themes are available for your Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, Microsoft Word documents, Microsoft Excel workbooks, and even your Microsoft Outlook email messages (and in Office 2010, your Microsoft Access database forms and reports), so it's easy to create your own personal or business branding throughout all of your documents.

In PowerPoint, the theme also includes the slide master and slide layouts, which you will learn more about later in this article, and slide background options.

tips for creating better presentations

Five versions of the same slide: It took just one click to apply a theme that changed the fonts, colors, graphic effects, and slide design for each option shown here. Shown clockwise from top are the Office (default), Adjacency, Couture, Newsprint, and Slipstream themes.

When you apply a theme in your presentation, you automatically get slide layouts, color, fonts, and graphic effects that go together, and you can format content with just a few clicks, as you'll see later in this article.

  • Find many built-in themes in the Themes gallery on the Design tab, in theThemes group. Just point to options to preview that theme in your documents. In Office 2010, you also see a selection of themes in this gallery that are automatically updated periodically from Office.com.

  • You can also mix and match a slide design with different theme colors, fonts, and effects to quickly create your own look. Select separate theme color, theme font, and theme effect sets from their respective galleries on the Design tab:

    tips for creating better presentations

You can even easily create a completely custom theme with your own colors, fonts and slide designs.

Tip: If you change the theme in your presentation and the formatting doesn't change, you may not have used theme-ready formatting when you created your presentation. When you start with a new PowerPoint 2010 or PowerPoint 2007 presentation, theme-ready formatting is automatic for fonts and colors on slide layouts and for Microsoft Office graphics, such as SmartArt graphics, charts, and shapes.

Learn how to customize and save a theme. Note that the link provided is for Office 2010 but also applies to Office 2007.

2. Use video and audio to convey your message more effectively.

Dynamic content, such as a brief video that illustrates an important point, is a great way to engage your audience. Using audio that helps convey your message can also help you keep your slides clean and approachable, such as by adding recorded narration to slides when sending your presentation to others to view on their own.

In PowerPoint 2010, video you insert from your files is now embedded by default, so you don't have to include multiple files when sharing your presentation electronically. You can also customize your embedded videos with easy-to-use tools such as video trim, fades, and effects. And with PowerPoint 2010, you can insert a video that you've uploaded to a website to play directly in your presentation.

3. Use graphics to emphasize key points

A well-chosen chart or diagram can often convey much more to your audience than boring bulleted text. Fortunately, creating charts and graphics has never been easier. In Office 2010 and Office 2007, Office graphics coordinate automatically with the active theme in your presentation.

  • If Excel is installed on your computer, you automatically get the power of Excel charts when you create a chart in PowerPoint. Just click the chart icon on any content placeholder in the PowerPoint presentation to create a chart.

    tips for creating better presentations

When your chart is created, an Excel worksheet opens where you can add and edit your data. And when you select the chart in your document, you see the Chart Tools Design, Layout, and Format tabs that make it easy to format and edit your chart. Find chart styles on the Design tab that automatically coordinate with your active document theme. Learn more about working with charts:

    In PowerPoint 2010
    In PowerPoint 2007

SmartArt graphics, introduced in Office 2007, enable you to create a professional-quality diagram literally as easily as typing a bulleted list. You just type in the SmartArt text pane and the diagram is automatically built for you. SmartArt layouts are available for many types of diagrams, ranging from simple lists to process diagrams, organization charts, timelines, and much more.

Click the SmartArt icon on any content placeholder to add a SmartArt graphic.

    tips for creating better presentations

    tips for creating better presentations

When you type in the text pane, SmartArt adds your text to the graphic. Press enter to add a new shape or content at the same level, and then press Tab to create a sub-shape or sub-content, such as shown here.

When you select a SmartArt diagram, the SmartArt tools tabs become available on the Ribbon. On the SmartArt Tools Design tab, you can use galleries to select a SmartArt style that coordinates with the effects of your theme and choose from several color options that also coordinate with your theme. You can even select a different SmartArt layout to apply to your active diagram. The layout is updated, but your content and formatting remain. And you can just point to options in any of those galleries to see a preview of your selection on your active graphic before you apply it.

    Tips:

    • Convert a bulleted list to a SmartArt graphic with just a few clicks. To do this, right-click in the list, point to Convert to SmartArt, and then point to a layout to see a preview of the diagram on your active slide, or click to apply the layout of your choice.

    • In Office 2010, dozens of additional SmartArt graphics are available, including more organization chart and picture layouts, as well as improved tools for working with picture diagrams.

4. Use animations and transitions wisely.

Having text and graphics appear on-screen just when you need them can be a nice touch. However, using too much animation can distract from your presentation's content.

  • For effects that emphasize your points without overwhelming your audience, limit animation to key points, and use consistent animation choices throughout the presentation.

Customize, preview, and apply animations directly from the Animations tab in PowerPoint 2010. In PowerPoint 2007, find the Custom Animation pane on theAnimations tab.

Tip: Animation effects in PowerPoint 2010 are improved to provide more realistic movement. You can also trigger the animation of an object to begin when you reach a specific point in the playback of audio or video content on your slide.

  • Consistent or complementary choices in slide transitions can also provide a professional touch without being distracting.

Customize, preview, and apply transitions from the Transitions tab in PowerPoint 2010 or the Animations tab in PowerPoint 2007.

PowerPoint 2010 adds several new 3-D slide transitions with stunning visual effects, such as the gallery transition shown here.

Clearly communicate your information

Want slides that clearly communicate your most important points? You might be surprised at how little work it takes to go from basic to brilliant. PowerPoint provides a host of tools for keeping your slides consistent, precise, and professional.

Take a look at two versions of a basic bulleted text slide below. The text in both slides is identical. Which would you prefer to present?

tips for creating better presentations

Two versions of the same content: The version on the right uses the slide master and layout formatting in the presentation theme for a more organized, readable slide.

5. Start by outlining your presentation.

Take time to outline your presentation before you begin to create your slides. Doing so can save time and help you give a more clear and effective presentation.

You can create your outline by typing a slide title and bullets points for your main topics on each slide. But you can also use the Outline pane to type your entire presentation outline in one window and add slides to your presentation as you go. To do this:

  1. In the Slides pane that appears on the left of your PowerPoint screen in Normal view, click the Outline tab. (If you don't see the Slides pane, on the View tab, click Normal.)

  2. Notice that a slide number and icon appears for your first slide. Type a title for the slide and then press ENTER to create your next slide.

  3. Press TAB to demote the text level and add points to the current slide in your outline. Or press SHIFT+TAB to promote the text level and add an additional slide.

tips for creating better presentations

The Outline pane is available in both PowerPoint 2010 (shown here) and PowerPoint 2007.

Tip: PowerPoint 2010 adds a new feature called slide sections that enables you to divide your presentations into logical sections for easier organization, such as to assign a set of slides to one author or to easily print just one section of slides. Learn about working with slide sections.

6. Use masters and layouts to save time and get better results.

The slide master is one of the most important tools in PowerPoint for creating easy-to-use, great-looking presentations. The master gives you a central place to add content and formatting that you want to appear on all (or most) of your slides. Formatting and layout that you do on the slide master automatically updates throughout the slide layouts in your presentation, saving you a tremendous amount of time and effort, and helping to keep your slides consistent. For example, place your logo on the slide master, and it will appear on all slides in the presentation.

  • A slide master includes a set of slide layouts for different types of content. Nine slide layouts are available by default in the Layout gallery on the Home tab, and they are formatted based on the slide master. You can customize any of these layouts individually and create your own custom slide layouts as well.

    tips for creating better presentations

The Layout gallery displays the name of the active theme at the top and provides thumbnails of each available slide layout. When you add custom layouts to your presentation, those appear in this gallery as well.

  • If you just need a single slide that doesn't fit an existing slide layout and won't need to be reused, you can use the Title Only or Blank slide layout and do your own thing right on the slide. But if you will reuse a layout for multiple slides in the same (or another) presentation, create or customize a slide layout to avoid doing the same work multiple times and to keep your slides looking professional and consistent.

To access the slide master, on the View tab, click Slide Master.

Learn to create or customize the slide master:

In PowerPoint 2010
In PowerPoint 2007

Tips:

  • To hide graphics that you place on the master for just one slide, on the Designtab, in the Background group, click Hide Background Graphics.

  • Masters are also available for formatting notes pages and handouts. Find these options on the View tab.

7. Consider differences between print and on-screen presentations.

Presentations designed to be viewed on screen don't always work well when you print them. Dark backgrounds that look good on slides, for example, rarely print well. Similarly, footer content that you need in print is likely to be distracting on-screen. Fortunately, PowerPoint makes it easy to switch between print and screen presentation options. Here are two features that can help:

  • When you format your presentation using a theme, slide master, and layouts, as described earlier in this article, you can change from a light background to a dark background in just a click, and text on your slides automatically changes color to be visible on the new background. Find the slide background gallery on theDesign tab, in the Background group.

  • To quickly show or hide footer, page number, and date content on all slides at once, on the Insert tab, click Header & Footer. In the Header and Footer dialog box, you can select the options to display them on screen or clear selections to hide content, and then click Apply to All. (Note that if you remove the footer, page number, or date placeholder on any slide, the slide will not display this content even if you turn it on in this dialog box.)

8. Use notes pages and handouts to help deliver the story.

Use the Notes pane that appears below the slide in Normal view to write notes to yourself for your presentation or to create notes that you can print for your viewers instead of crowding your slides with too much text. You can also format and print handouts that contain up to nine slides per page.

Stay in control of your presentations

Custom colors, layouts, and graphics can do a lot for your presentation. But a misaligned flowchart, or a presentation that crashes on your client's computer, isn't likely to make the impression you want. For example, take a look at the two timeline graphic images below.

tips for creating better presentations

Two versions of the same content: Nudging and fussing to create the graphic on the left took about an hour, and it's far from perfect. Using available PowerPoint tools, it took just a few minutes to create the flawless diagram on the right.

9. Keep file size manageable.

A common cause of stress when you work in PowerPoint is that the file becomes too large to edit or for the presentation to run smoothly. Fortunately, this problem is easy to avoid by compressing the media in your files and using native PowerPoint features whenever possible (such as tables, charts, SmartArt graphics, and shapes) instead of importing and embedding objects from other programs.

Learn about compressing pictures in your presentations:

In PowerPoint 2010
In PowerPoint 2007

Tip: PowerPoint 2010 gives you the ability to compress the embedded video and audio files in your presentation as well. Learn about compressing media.

10. Use the tools available to get it right the first time.

You've already seen in this article that you can use features like slide layouts to quickly create consistent slides. Or use tools such as SmartArt graphics to create a professional-quality graphic in no-time. But when you need to do your own thing—and that thing doesn't belong on a slide layout or fit an available graphic style—PowerPoint still provides tools to save you time and improve your results.

11. Turn off (or manage) AutoCorrect layout options.

PowerPoint provides several automatic formatting options to help your slides conform to the provided layouts. They can be big time-savers, but they can also be frustrating if you're not using them intentionally and they cause formatting (such as the font size in slide titles) to become inconsistent from one slide to the next. If you don't want your text to shrink automatically to fit content, you can easily disable those features in the AutoCorrect Options dialog box.

  1. In PowerPoint 2010, click the File tab to open Backstage view, and then clickOptions. In PowerPoint 2007, click the Microsoft Office button and then clickPowerPoint Options.

  2. On the Proofing tab, click AutoCorrect Options.

  3. On the AutoFormat As You Type tab, clear the AutoFit title text to placeholders and AutoFit body text to placeholders check boxes.

12. Know exactly what your viewers will see.

When you want to be sure that what you send is what viewers see, you can save the presentation in the PowerPoint slide show format, so that the show starts for the recipients as soon as they open the file. But, some variables, such as whether media will play correctly on the recipient's computer, may still affect what viewers see.

PowerPoint 2010 introduces a new feature that makes it easy to share your presentation perfectly with almost anyone, anywhere. You can now create a high-quality video of your presentation, complete with your saved narration and timings, in just a few clicks. PowerPoint creates the video in the background while you keep working. Learn how to create a video of your presentation.

Getting started on Facebook

Getting started on FacebookFacebook isn't just for kids anymore  Facebook is quickly becoming how many people, particularly young adults, communicate with one another. The site allows you to keep friends up to date on what you've been up to, show off pictures you've taken, or invite people to an event, as well as comment on what your friends are saying and doing too. Originally developed as a way for college students to communicate with classmates, Facebook later opened to the public. Once it did, adults flocked to the site not only to keep up with their current friends, but also to reconnect with friends and classmates from years past.

Getting started using Facebook is simple to do.

Getting started on Facebook
Quick, easy registration
The first step in using Facebook is registering for an account. You'll find a link to create a new account on theFacebook home page (www.facebook.com). Fill out the required fields with your name and email address in order to get started. If you want your friends and family to be able to find you on the site, it is probably in your best interest to use your real name and primary email address when signing up.

Class photo time

You'll definitely want to upload a photo to use as your Facebook profile picture. This picture will show up on your profile page and be visible when people search for you. If you have a common name such as Bob Smith, your profile picture can help people figure out whether or not you're the Bob Smith they're looking for.

During the profile setup process, you'll be given the option to upload a picture. After your profile is created, you can upload more profile pictures, as well as pictures of your vacations, pets, or anything else by clicking the Photos tab on your profile page and then selecting Create a Photo Album.

Make new friends
Facebook is almost entirely pointless if you don't have any friends on the site. "Friending" someone on Facebook acknowledges that you know that person and are willing to share some of your life with them. The status updates for those you friend on Facebook will show up in your News Feed; those people will be able to see your status updates and things you upload, just as you will be able to see theirs.

Obviously, you don't want to friend people you don't want knowing anything about you. If there is a group of folks for whom you'd prefer to limit or restrict access to what you've got on the site, set that up in the privacy settings. We'll talk about that a little later on.

Getting started on FacebookStatus symbol
A status update is a way of letting your friends know what you're up to or what you're thinking about. Typically around a sentence long, a status update can be something as simple as "Wow, it's cold outside today!" or something longer such as "Planning a trip to the Bahamas this summer, does anyone have any travel suggestions?" You can say or ask anything in your status update, and it will show up in your friends' News Feeds for them to respond to.

Keep up on the news
When you log in to Facebook, you will be instantly taken to a News Feed page listing all of the latest updates by your friends. If you see something you'd like to respond to, you can click the blue Comment below their update in order to respond to their post. That comment will then show up below your friend's post, allowing the folks who see the original post to see your reply.

If you want to check up on a specific friend, click on their name in your News Feed to go to their profile page, or type their name in the search box at the top of the screen to pull up their profile and see only their updates.

Be Like-able
One thing that happens a lot on Facebook is "Liking" something. Liking is similar to expressing verbal approval (or giving a high five, a thumbs-up, or laughing at someone's joke). You're letting that person know that you enjoyed (or agreed with) what they shared that particular post with you.

To Like a post, simply click the blue Like below it. This will display a thumbs-up icon below the update with your name, as well as that of anyone else who has also Liked it. You can also Like certain pages or things on Facebook, letting others know what some of your interests are. For instance, you might Like bacon, the Rolling Stones, or even us!

Private lives
Depending who you friend on Facebook, you may or may not want to let everyone see everything that you post on the site. Clicking the Account button on the top right of the screen and then selecting Privacy Settings from the options will take you to a page where you can customize what information people are able to see about you. At the very least, you may want to restrict some things (such as your pictures) so that only your friends can see them. Privacy settings can be adjusted for large groups of people or even for just single person. For instance, if you don't want your children to see pictures from your trip to the Bahamas, you can block them from being able to do so.

This article by the Electronic Frontier Foundation provides a lot of great information about Facebook's privacy settings and how to set them up.

These are some of the basics to get you started using Facebook. Once you get some friends and start using it, you'll quickly discover more site features such as games, videos, and questions! We'll talk about these in a later article — but in the meantime, try not to get too addicted.

Most Useful iPhone Camera Tips and Tricks

1. Get Geographical

Most Useful iPhone Camera Tips and Tricks

In addition to offering further functionality when uploaded to iPhoto, or the likes of Flickr, adding a geographical “tag” to your iPhone images makes them easier to organize and view on your handset, especially if you take a lot of pics.

When you first activate your iPhone, you will be prompted to let the device’s camera use your location. If you dismissed the option, or aren’t sure if you have it enabled, it’s a simple thing to check and set up.

Simply go to the “Settings” menu on your homescreen, then “General,” then “Location Services,” and toggle to the “On” option for “Camera.”

Now, any photos you take will be sorted by their location. To see this in action, go to “Photos,” select your “Camera Roll,” and along the bottom of the display you should see a “Places” option.

Hit “Places” and the phone will load up a map with red pins to denote where it is you’ve been snapping. If you tap a pin, it will tell you how many images are tagged with that location and give you the option to click through and see them.

2. Hold Steady

Most Useful iPhone Camera Tips and Tricks

Camera shake is always problematic with compact snappers, and the iPhone’s touchscreen design, although great for other applications, does not help matters, as you have to physically tap the screen (potentially moving the camera) to take a photo.

Well, technically you don’t have to “tap” the screen. The camera button does not take the picture until you release your finger from it, so if you’re struggling with blur, press and hold your finger on the button as you compose the shot and then gently release it at the point you want to capture.  Also don’t forget to subscribe! or be a fan on facebook must have web rss ahli desain

3. Tap and Zoom

Most Useful iPhone Camera Tips and Tricks

The iPhone’s camera works well enough if you use it as a point-and-shoot snapper, and many people do, but there are some features that will help you get even better photos.

You can tap anywhere on the screen to focus (a blue square comes up on the display as you can see from the image above). This not only focuses on that area (which may already seem clear in your display), but also adjusts the exposure and white balance automatically for the main area of your image. This also works for the video camera as well.

In camera (but not video), while the blue focus box is on the display, you’ll also see a slider bar underneath. This is the digital zoom — just slide the bar to zoom in. Remember that it is digital, rather than optical zoom, meaning you’ll be sacrificing image quality if you do use it. It’s best, if possible, to just move closer.

4. Copy and Paste Pics

Most Useful iPhone Camera Tips and Tricks

You can easily copy images from the web and paste them into e-mails or MMS messages. In Safari, simply press and hold on the image you want and you’ll get the option to save it or copy it. Saving it will see the pic saved down to your Camera Roll, while copying it means you can then paste it.

You can also carry out the copy action with an image already in your Camera Roll — again just press and hold until you see the copy option. Also don’t forget to subscribe! or be a fan on facebook must have web rss ahli desain

Once your copied image is on your iPhone’s clipboard, head over to mail or messages and press and hold the message body, at which point you’ll see an option to paste. Hit that and you’ve successfully attached your pic.

5. Edit the Camera Roll

Most Useful iPhone Camera Tips and Tricks

Your Camera Roll (the album in Photos where all your pics are saved) can get a little cluttered, especially if you’re experimenting with the iPhone’s camera. Rather than go in and delete pics one at a time, there is a quicker way to clear out the clutter.

Go to “Photos,” then “Camera Roll,” and in the main thumbnail view you’ll see a box with an arrow coming out of it in the top-right of the screen. Press this, and it gives you the option to “Select Photos.” Now, tapping on any thumbnail will select it (denoted by a small red tick) and then you can simply hit the delete button for quick and easy bulk removals. 6. Go Widescreen

Most Useful iPhone Camera Tips and Tricks

In camcorder mode, you won’t automatically “see” the full version of what’s actually being recorded, which means (as you can see from the images above and below) you could be including things in the frame that you don’t want on tape.

In order to make sure what you see is what’s being recorded, you need to double tap the screen (whether the iPhone is recording or not) to get the proper widescreen view to see more of the image.

7. Trim Video

Most Useful iPhone Camera Tips and Tricks

If you’re going to be recording a lot of video on your iPhone 4, you might consider paying out $4.99 for Apple’s iMovie app, as it offers tons of editing and creative functionality right on your handset. Also don’t forget to subscribe! or be a fan on facebook must have web rss ahli desain

If, however, you’re only going to be taking the odd snippet of vid here or there, it’s worth knowing the iPhone offers some limited video editing options that can “trim” a clip either at the beginning or end (or both) to tidy up your films before you upload them to a video sharing site such as YouTube, or to your computer.

To trim your footage, after you’ve recorded the video, in Camera Roll, press and hold the long rectangular box along the top of the display. This then gives you the option to trim. You can slide your finger along the box to select the frames you want and lop off the beginning or end.

When you’re happy with your selection, you can choose to save over the original clip or save it as a new movie in the Camera Roll.
